Hyeon-Jin Kim Lectured at the 2014 IHCF Spring Academy

Hyeon-Jin Kim lectured on the “Main Issues under Tax Laws” at the 2014 In-House Counsel Forum (IHCF) Spring Academy held on April 12, 2014.


At the Academy, which was attended by more than 100 in-house attorneys, Hyeon-Jin Kim introduced tax laws and tax-related issues helpful to in-house counsel in handling legal affairs, including (i) a general explanation on the tax law system, (ii) the main issues arising in the areas of M&A, LBO (MBO) and nominal trusts, (iii) the Punishment of Tax Evaders Act – fraud and other illegal activities, and (iv) the Supreme Court’s recent decisions.


An attorney and a certified public accountant (CPA), Mr. Kim specializes in civil and criminal litigation and counseling in the areas of taxation and accounting (including with respect to the Financial Supervisory Service, audit reviews, prosecutors’ criminal investigations, administrative appeals and international arbitrations), the Capital Markets Act, inheritance (including division of inherited property and wills and trusts) and hostile takeovers (including disputes over management control).
