Jong Han Oh, Managing Partner of Shin & Kim LLC, was named “Managing Partner of the Year” for two consecutive years at the ALB Korea Law Awards 2023, held on November 10th at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido, South Korea.
The ALB Korea Law Awards, now in its 11th year, is an annual ceremony hosted by Asian Legal Business (ALB), a prestigious global legal media owned by Thomson Reuters. This year, Mr. Oh was awarded the “Best Managing Partner of the Year” for exercising the most outstanding leadership of managing partners from Korean law firms.
Under his leadership, Shin & Kim has recorded steady year-over-year revenue growth and reinforced expertise through his aggressive talent acquisition strategy. Hence, it is safe to say that Mr. Oh's growth strategy and leadership have been instrumental in the firm's success. In his speech, Mr. Oh remarked, “I’d like to attribute this award not to myself alone, but to all my colleagues at Shin & Kim who worked hard as one team,” “And I thank all our clients for their great support, and I will continue to do my best to strengthen my position as a managing partner who provides differentiated services in the field.”
This year, Shin & Kim also won “Project Finance Deal of the Year” for its successful project finance (PF) advising on an electric vehicle battery plant construction project in Karawang, Indonesia. Lastly, Jae-Min Jeon, a partner at Shin & Kim, was named “Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year” for his decade-long success in handling high-profile cases in international arbitration.
