1~7 year PQE Foreign Attorneys for Leading ICT Practice Group in Korea

Shin & Kim, a leading full service Korean law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Foreign Attorney to join its rapidly expanding ICT Practice Group.  The team advises leading domestic and multinational companies across a wide range of ICT matters, including telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), data protection and privacy, AI, online platforms, and gaming.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 1–7 years of PQE, either in a law firm or in-house environment, preferably with a focus on regulatory or compliance matters (familiarity with Korean ICT-related laws and regulations is a plus)
  • Experience working on multi-jurisdictional cases or with multinational clients 
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to distill and present complex issues clearly and concisely
  • High-level English drafting and legal research skills 
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, engaged approach to teamwork

Roles & responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice across a broad spectrum of ICT issues, including TMT, data protection & privacy, AI, online platforms, and gaming
  • Track, analyze, and interpret legislative and regulatory developments affecting clients’ business operations
  • Draft newsletters, policy briefs, client alerts, and other thought-leadership pieces as needed
  • Advise clients on compliance risk management, assist with regulatory inquiries and investigations, and review privacy-related documentation, contracts, and internal policies
  • Support foreign clients in understanding and navigating Korea’s regulatory and business environment
