Shin & Kim LLC, led by Managing Partner Jong-Han Oh, announced that it was awarded the Grand Prize in both the Expertise and Service categories at the 2025 Best Law Firm & Lawyer awards, held on Friday, November 28 at the Dasan Hall of The Korea Economic Daily. This year, a record-setting nine attorneys from the firm were recognized as Best Lawyers.
Shin & Kim earned top rankings across 15 evaluation criteria in the Expertise category, securing the Grand Prize. The firm also received the Grand Prize in the Service category, further demonstrating its exceptional capabilities and its continued commitment to delivering the highest levels of client satisfaction.
Notably, nine attorneys were selected in the Best Lawyer category, which recognizes those who have achieved the most outstanding performance during the year, setting a new record for the firm. The honorees are as follows: Attorney Jae-Young Chang in M&A and IPO (JRTI, Class 29); Attorney Jung-Hwan Lee in Criminal Defense and Government Investigations (JRTI, Class 29); Attorney Yun-Seok Jang in Finance (JRTI, Class 30); Attorney Dae-Yong Baek in Legislative Advisory (JRTI, Class 31); Attorney Sin-Ook Kang in TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) (JRTI, Class 33); Attorney Sook-Mi Lee in Civil Litigation (JRTI, Class 34); Attorney Hyun Heo in Real Estate and Construction (JRTI, Class 34); Attorney Hyun-Il Hwang in Cryptocurrency and Fintech (2nd Bar Exam); and Attorney Tae-Seung Kim in Serious Accidents (3rd Bar Exam).
The Best Law Firm & Lawyer Awards are an annual event organized by Hankyung Business, The Korea Economic Daily, and the Korea In-House Counsel Association. Now in its 16th year, the program recognizes outstanding legal professionals across the industry. The evaluation is conducted via surveys of in-house counsel and corporate legal teams, complemented by qualitative assessments from a review committee composed of leading law school professors and senior legal officers from major corporations, ensuring impartiality and reliability.
