Prior to joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Kwangsoo Joo has spent over thirty years of his career at health-related institutions, including the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and Korea Biomedicine Industry Association. As a public pharmacist, Mr. Joo laid the foundation for the growth of the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and medical device industries through policy formulation and execution in the health care sector.

In particular, Mr. Joo has contributed to the establishment of the license and approval procedures for medical products developed in Korea in accordance with the international standards, and also to the improvement of their manufacturing process and quality. As the representative of the Korea Biomedicine Industry Association, Mr. Joo led the amendment of Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, Cosmetics Act, Medical Devices Act, and Bioethics and Safety Act, and also commercialized the relevant R&D achievements for sale in the global market.
