Mr. Jeong Ho Ahn is a partner attorney at Shin & Kim. Mr. Ahn’s practice is focused on corporate legal affairs, such as broadcasting, telecommunications, privacy and IT. His main clients include broadcasting, telecommunications and IT companies.

Mr. Ahn graduated from the Department of Anthropology of Seoul National University. After completing courses at the Judicial Research & Training Institute, he served as an administrative officer in various departments and positions at the Korea Communications Commission from 2009 to 2013. During this period, Mr. Ahn was in charge of post-legislation regulations (e.g., enactment and amendment of laws and regulations relating to broadcasting and telecommunications, and prohibited acts); dispute resolution (e.g., arbitration and mediation); entry/content regulation against broadcasting operators; and improvement of the public broadcasting system.

Mr. Ahn joined Shin & Kim in 2022 since when he has advised domestic and foreign companies on broadcasting, telecommunications, privacy and IT laws and regulations. In addition, since 2014, he has served as a member to the Radio Management Advisory Council, Central Radio Management Office and an advisory member on Privacy Legislation Advisory Committee, Korea Communications Commission, and since 2016, as a member on Judging Committee for the Authorization of Location Information Business, Korea Communications Commission, Civil Petitions Treatment Judging Committee, Korea Internet & Security Agency and Expert Consulting Committee for Middle/Small-Size Location-Based Service Businesses, Online Privacy Association. Mr. Ahn continues to provide advice on policymaking and regulatory affairs of relevant authorities.
