Introduction

Claire (Mi-Jin) Kim is a senior foreign attorney at Shin & Kim. Claire’s practice areas are banking & finance, project finance, energy, and antitrust matters.

In the area of project finance and energy, Claire has extensive experience in acting for both lenders and sponsors/borrowers on various international (renewable) energy, infrastructure and PPP projects. Recently, Claire focuses on investment, development and financing of offshore wind power projects and other renewable power projects in Korea. Claire also regularly advises on various cross-border (syndicated) finance transactions, including real estate financings, acquisition financings and export credit supported financings and refinancings.

In the area of antitrust, Claire advises companies and handles cases in various antitrust matters and is a member of the firm's antitrust practice group.

Claire started her career with Norton Rose Fulbright and has subsequently worked at Kim & Chang. Claire previously spent time as a secondee in the legal department of The Export-Import Bank of Korea and in the legal department of Korea Development Bank.
