In March 2020, Ms. Noh-Kong Lee joined Shin & Kim as a partner in its litigation practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lee served as the Chief Prosecutor of the Seongnam Branch of Suwon District Public Prosecutors' Office.
During her career in the public sector, Ms. Noh-Kong Lee held various key leadership positions in the Prosecutor’s Office, including serving as a prosecutor in the Attorney General’s Office of the Korean Ministry of Justice. Ms. Lee was the first woman to serve as the fourth deputy chief prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.
In addition, she served as the head of various departments, including: Criminal Dept. #2 of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office; Criminal Trial Dept. #3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office; Youngdong Branch of the Cheongju District Public Prosecutors' Office; Criminal Dept. #3 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office; and Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Public Prosecutors' Office. She also held the position of deputy chief prosecutor at Bucheon Branch of the Incheon District Public Prosecutors' Office.
Ms. Lee will further strengthen Shin & Kim’s growing Criminal Defense Practice Group based on her extensive involvement as a prosecutor in various complex criminal cases, investigations and trials (e.g., cases relating to corporate embezzlement, advance technology, tax, food & drugs).
