Mr. Hankyung Yu is a partner at Shin&Kim. His main areas of practice include insurance, labor, bankruptcy, international trade, and general corporate law.

Mr. Yu has been conducting a number of lawsuits and consultations on various types of insurance on behalf of domestic and foreign insurers and reinsurance companies. In addition, Mr. Yu has extensive experience and a comprehensive understanding of corporate law, based on her experience in various lawsuits and advice on labor, insolvency, international transactions, etc.

Mr. Yu graduated from Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Economics and Law, obtained a master’s degree (LL.M) from Georgetown University Law Center, and completed the 32nd Judicial Research and Training Center.

• Advised on various insurance-related matters and litigation for domestic and foreign insurance companies and reinsurance companies, such as construction insurance related to underground tunnel construction, assembly insurance, automobile product recall insurance, package insurance, cargo insurance, fire insurance, and executive liability insurance
• Advised on general corporate matters and litigation, including general meeting of shareholders and board of directors, remuneration for directors of a stock company, and other various types of contracts and illegal acts between companies
• Advised on litigation and labor relations such as disciplinary actions against the Company’s officers and employees such as dismissal, etc., transfer orders, job conversion, employee status, wage peak system, and occupational accidents, etc.
• Advised on litigation and bankruptcy, such as rehabilitation claims, rehabilitation security rights, avoidance rights, etc. on behalf of rehabilitation companies or rehabilitation creditors
• Advised on litigation and international transactions, such as exclusive import and sale contracts, long-term raw material supply contracts, transit trade, bill of lading and letter of credit transactions, international jurisdiction, and domestic enforcement of foreign judgments
