Mr. Giwook Kim is a partner at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in the area of antitrust and personal information protection, general corporate advice.

Mr. Kim has extensively advised a number of Korean and foreign companies in the field of antitrust, in connection with abuse of market dominant position, unfair collaborative acts, unfair trade practices, unfair support practices, the Subcontract Act, the Franchise Business Act, the Large Retail Business Act, the Labeling and Advertising Act, the Electronic Commerce Act, and the Consumer Protection Act. He has also actively participated in investigations, deliberation, and mediation by the Korea Fair Trade Commission and Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency, as well as in related litigation cases.

In addition, Mr. Kim has tried cases related to the Personal Information Protection Act, the Information and Communications Network Act, and the Credit Information Act, and he has advised the Personal Information Protection Commission, the Korea Communications Commission, and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

Mr. Kim graduated from Seoul National University College of Social Sciences and Seoul National University School of Law (J.D.). He joined the Korean Bar in 2014, joining the 3rd class of Korean Bar Examinees. He earned his LL.M. from Columbia Law School and passed the New York State Bar Exam.
