Mr. Yong Hee Kim is currently a partner at Shin & Kim, and his practice focuses on structured finance, including acquisition finance and asset securitization, project finance, private equity funds, and financial regulatory matters.

As a member of Shin & Kim’s Corporate Finance team, Mr. Kim has advised on a variety of financial transactions, including loans such as acquisition financing, mortgage loans, and general corporate loans, financing related to development projects such as real estate PF, and structured finance transactions such as asset securitization. In particular, Mr. Kim has advised on both large and small acquisition finance transactions and has played a key role in Shin & Kim’s acquisition finance practice. In addition, he has been a leading advisor in the field of structured finance and real estate PF in response to changes in the financial markets. Mr. Kim also advises clients on the general financial market matters, including alternative investments, private equity funds, and general financial regulations.

Mr. Kim graduated from Seoul National University College of Law (LL.B. in Public Law), completed the 32nd judicial training course at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and served as an Air Force Judge Advocate before joining Shin & Kim. After joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Kim received his master’s degree (LL.M.) from USC Gould School of Law and worked as an in-house attorney at KB Investment and Securities and as a seconded attorney at Woori Bank’s IB Department.

In recognition of his work, Mr. Kim has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the field of Banking and Finance by leading Korean and international publications such as IFLR 1000, Legal 500, and Legal Times.
