Ms. Gjumin Kim is a partner at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in environment, project/energy, corporate M&A, and general corporate matters.

Ms. Kim has expertise in domestic waste-related regulations through her experience in due diligence and advising on acquisitions of waste management and waste recycling companies of various sizes. She has also successfully resolved various issues related to environmental policies and laws by conducting due diligence for the acquisition of large (Class I and II) factories, including the largest airline in Korea, and advising on the acquisition of integrated permits and the acquisition and management of various licenses under the Clean Air Conservation Act, the Water Environment Conservation Act, and the Soil Environment Conservation Act.

In addition, she has advised on greenhouse gas emissions and emissions trading under the Paris Agreement, including advising on emissions trading and handling administrative litigation regarding the revocation of emissions allowances, and advising on various regulations under the Resource Recycling Act, including packaging regulations for various consumer products (cosmetics, alcohol, clothing, household appliances, etc.) and hazardous substances regulations, as well as legislative services.
