Donghwi Min is a senior advisor at Shin & Kim. Mr. Min joined the Insurance Supervisory Service in 1993, and after its incorporation into the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) in 1999, he handled civil complaints in relation to insurance and inspected insurance-related matters at the FSS.
After his promotion to the team-leading position in 2012, Mr. Min led the unfair securities trading investigation team (2012-2013), the civil complaint instruction team (2014-2015), the legal affairs team of insurance (2016), and the life insurance and non-life insurance examination team (2017-2019), and also served as the planning team leader of the insurance business examination office (2020). His career as a leader was extended to the Financial Policy Cooperation Officer of Daejeon Metropolitan City (2021) and the Director-General of the Gyeongnam Regional Bureau of the FSS (2022). During his public services, he devoted himself to the sound development and improvement of the insurance industry in terms of supervision and regulation.
Furthermore, from March 2000 to December 2002, Mr. Min was in charge of affairs relating to insurance and taxes at the Planning Coordination Department the World Cup Organizing Committee, directly handling the overall process of insurance products, from the design, subscription (including re-insurance handling) to coverage. His deep and extensive understanding and knowledge of overall businesses of the insurance company is one of his professional strengths.
