The Korea Economic Dailys Market Insight (“Market Insight”) announced its list of Korea’s "Top M&A Attorneys" based on the M&A deals of the six major Korean law firms announced in the first half of 2013. Mr. Chang-Hyun Song was ranked second and Mr. Yong-Ho Han was ranked eighth.

Mr. Chang-Hyun Song advised on several high profile deals in the first half of 2013, amounting to an aggregate deal value of KRW 3,387 billion, including his representation of Korea Exchange Bank ("KEB") in the acquisition of 40% of the KEB shares held by Hana Financial Group, and Jabez Partners in its acquisition of Green Fire & Marine Insurance. According to Market Insight, clients were very impressed by Mr. Song’s strategic advice and ability to envisage possible scenarios and consider appropriate pre-emptive action plans.

Market Insight also published a list of "Rising Stars" based on the M&A deals of the six major Korean law firms announced in the first half of 2013 and surveys of attorneys in the six major law firms and clients of attorneys with less than 10 years' experience; and Shin & Kim’s Mr. Sung-Eun Kwon and Mr. Hae Sung Jeong were ranked third and seventh, respectively. Mr. Kwon represented KEB in the acquisition of the KEB shares held by Hana Financial Group. According to Market Insight, clients praised Mr. Kwon’s proactive attitude and high responsiveness to clients’ phone or e-mail inquiries.
