On September 15, 2015, Shin & Kim and the Korea Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association held a joint seminar entitled “Understanding of Audit Review and Market Abuse in Business Accounting: Case Analysis.”
The seminar began with a presentation on general business accounting practices and measures against associated legal risks, followed by case-based presentations on the understanding of market abuse activities and case analysis.
Hyeon-Jin Kim of Shin & Kim participated in the seminar as a speaker, highlighting Korean companies’ increasing awareness of the importance of audit review across all industries including the pharmaceutical industry and the need for more stringent monitoring of accounting frauds.
