Mr. Sung Beom Kim is a partner at Shin & Kim with his major practices as the provision of advice on audit, governmental regulation and legislation.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience in handling affairs of public organizations, government ministries, local governments, etc. while working at the Board of Audit and Inspection and based on in-depth understanding on such subjects, he has provided general advice on remedy for violation of private right prior to any litigation. In particular, with his excellent experience-oriented case handling know-hows, he is specialized in the audit request system which has been recently increasingly used in addition to various types of claims and application systems, committee affairs, etc.

• Advised on legislation, including the amendment of the Real Estate Investment Company Act, amendment of the National Sports Promotion Act, opposition to the bill related to in-app payments, amendment of the Public Official Election Act, opposition to the amendment of the Game Industry Promotion Act, enactment and amendment of the FRSB statutory incorporation bill, opposition to the amendment of the Building Act, and the amendment of the Construction Technology Promotion Act
• Advised on audit and inspection responses, providing services that included preparing major domestic companies for national audits or hearings, reviewing responses to requests for submission of documents for national audits and to the Board of Audit and Inspection, submitting explanations in response to audits by the Board of Audit and Inspection, applying for a public-interest audit, and filing complaints to the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission
• Advised several governmental and public organizations, including the National Assembly, Korea Real Estate Board, Korea Institute of Robotics & Technology Convergence, Korea Creative Content Agency, KAIST, Science and Technology Jobs Agency, KITECH, Korea Informative Technology Research Institute, Climate Change Center, KOSTI, and Incheon International Airport Corporation
• Advised on research projects, including building a base for research on the history of the Korean Independence Movement (Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs), foreign market post-management systems (Korean Agency for Technology and Standards), associations systems upgrade projects (Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association), the Government-wide 365 Counseling Project (Ministry of the Interior and Safety), the R&D voucher project (Science and Technology Jobs Agency), and improvement of local contract legal systems (Local Finance Association)
• Advised on provisions of policy and trend reports, including customized trend reports on legislation in the National Assembly and government policies that meet the needs of each company
