Mr. Daeshik Kim is a partner at Shin & Kim, and is presently a member of the management committee, mainly practicing in REITs and real estate fund related services, SOC project financing and unfair securities trading in the capital market, such as market manipulation.

Mr. Kim holds an LL.B. degree from Seoul National University and an LL.M. from Columbia University in the U.S. (2010). After passing the 38th National Judicial Bar Examination in 1996, he completed his training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, 28th Class, and in 2012, became a New York State bar member.

Mr. Kim has broad experience in handling REITs and real estate funds, as well as SOC related services including project financing and establishing infrastructure funds. He also performed multiple research services assigned by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, especially the full revision of the REITs Act, which serves as a milestone of the REITs market, based on which he holds distinguished expertise in public listings of REITs.

In addition, based on his practical experience related to futures option trading, Mr. Kim’s other practices include handling insider trading, market manipulation, unfair trading and other unfair securities trading cases, in which he is recognized for his sector-specific expertise in responding to investigations by financial supervisory authorities and arguing before the court in criminal case hearings, etc.
