Mr. Wook Huh is a partner at Shin & Kim and provides advice on Korean and Chinese laws for Chinese companies that have entered or are seeking to enter Korea and Korean companies that intend to enter China.
From 2006, Mr. Huh accumulated academic and practical experience in China for 15 years until returning to Korea in 2020. During his 15-year stay in China, Mr. Huh served as the representative of Beijing and Shanghai offices in Yulchon, where he specialized in advising on Chinese law for Korean companies that had entered China. After returning to Korea, he demonstrated his expertise in advising on Korean law for Chinese companies and individuals that invest in and are active in Korea.
Mr. Huh graduated from Yonsei University's Department of Business Administration and Law (double major) and completed his 33rd Judicial Research and Training Institute. During his stay in China, he became the first Korean lawyer to obtain a master's and doctoral degree (majoring in economic law) at the Beijing University Law School in China. Mr. Huh regularly publishes a column titled “Huh Wook’s View on China – From a Legal Perspective” in Economy Chosun and serves as an advisor to the Ministry of Justice’s legal support team for overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises and an advisor to the Beijing office of the Korea Content Agency. He has been participating in the project of publishing books by translating key precedents in Korean courts, which is the Supreme Court’s 15-year project of translating rulings into Chinese.
