Mr. Kyu-Jun Choi joined the Korea Securities Industry Association (currently the Financial Investment Association) in 1987. He was dispatched to establish the Securities Market Stabilization Fund in 1990 and served there as an asset manager for three years. After coming back to the Korea Securities Industry Association, Mr. Choi was mainly in charge of improving the securities industry and the market system. After 1999, he was in charge of mapping out rules and policies for the market system and operation affairs at the KOSDAQ committee. After the launch of the Korea Exchange in January 2005, Mr. Choi mainly performed market management duties for the overall capital markets. In 2009 in particular, as the director of a task force team for attracting foreign companies to go public in Korea, he successfully helped a US-based Korean company be listed on the KRX for the first time. In 2013 when a joint investigation team on securities crimes was launched at the Prosecutors’ Office, Mr. Choi developed successful liaison and collaboration among the Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, the Capital Market Investigation Team at the Financial Services Commission, and the Financial Supervisory Service.

Then, Mr. Choi left the Korea Exchange in December 2016 and joined the Korea IR Council as a full-time vice-president in January 2017, performing IR support duties for two years. In 2018, he established a new practice of publishing and disclosing a technology analysis report for KOSDAQ-listed companies to resolve market information imbalance.
