Mr. Yong-Ho Moon is a senior counsel at Shin & Kim. His main practice areas are intellectual property rights, venture businesses, and information and telecommunications.
Mr. Moon served as a judge of the Seoul Civil District Court, Jeonju District Court, and as chief judge of the Jecheon Branch of the Jeonju District Court, presiding judge of the Seoul Eastern District Court, and presiding judge of the Patent Court. He also served as professor at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. Mr. Moon published multiple papers on compensation for damage caused by various illegal acts, copyright laws, and information laws. He gave lectures on legal practice as adjunct instructor at the Seoul National University School of Law for from 2010 to 2020.
Throughout his career as a judge, Mr. Moon administrative and secretarial positions in an intellectual property rights practice group and a judicial informatization community within the court. Even after retiring as judge, he continued to actively participate as member of the Civil Practice Research Society and Special Practice Research Society within the Supreme Court and academic associations such as the Korea Association for Infomedia Law and Korea Intellectual Property Society.
