SK Telecom’s acquisition of Hynix (renamed as SK Hynix) was selected as the Best Domestic M&A Deal by Finance Asia, a prestigious monthly financial publication focusing on the Asia Pacific markets. As legal advisor to Hynix, Shin & Kim advised Hynix through to successful completion of its complex and controversial sale of existing shares and issuance of new shares. As remarked by Finance Asia, “…the deal overcame all…obstacles and has created a company that is stronger and better positioned to compete on the world stage. After so many failed attempts, that marks a real success.”
