Mr. Byung Joo Lee, a partner of Shin & Kim, gave a presentation entitled “M&A Involving Companies Subject to Rehabilitation in Korea” at the 3rd East Asia Symposium on Business Restructuring & Insolvency Law and Practice held in Tokyo on 29-30 October 2011.
The Symposium, which gathered together about 300 scholars and practitioners from Korea, China and Japan, provided a forum for in-depth discussions regarding insolvency and rehabilitation cases in the respective countries.
Mr. Lee heads the Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring Team at Shin & Kim. His major areas of practice involve corporate M&A and rehabilitation, and disputes related to insolvency laws. He is also chairman of the Insolvency Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA).
