Asian Legal Business (ALB), a respected legal news and information publication of Thomson Reuters, held its 2014 Korea Law Awards ceremony at the Westin Chosun Seoul on November 14, 2014, awarding the title of “Managing Partner of the Year” to Shin & Kim’s Managing Partner, Sinseob Kang.
The honor is bestowed upon managing partners of local law firms who have shown remarkable leadership. ALB said about the award, "Mr. Kang has played a crucial role in building the growth engine of Shin & Kim and realizing the fast-growing firm’s full potential. He has shown noteworthy leadership since becoming managing partner in 2013."
Since his appointment in March of 2013, Mr. Kang has implemented a strategy of open management, aggressively recruiting top talent. He has also come up with creative business models, including setting up specialized practice groups in order to enhance the firm’s organizational culture and better provide customized solutions. Objective indicators of the success of his efforts have materialized within a mere year; Shin & Kim has enjoyed profit growth and was named the “National Firm of the Year” at the Chambers Asia Pacific Awards 2014. The Firm also witnessed an over 15% revenue growth from its previous year’s earnings and recorded the industry’s highest revenue per partner this year.
