Partner人员简介
概观
Mr. Chang-Hun Lee is a partner at Shin & Kim, and is presently a member of the management committee. He has continued his legal career since he began his legal practice as a judicial advocate in 2004.
While serving as a judicial advocate, he managed multiple litigation cases in various fields against the government or administrative agencies, and, in particular, excelled in the tax field by mainly handling administrative litigation related to tax imposition such as corporate tax and income tax. He also participated in the investigation and deliberation of cases filed based on the SOFA (Korea-US Administrative Agreement) and drafted a decision as a judicial officer, and gained practical experience related to the SOFA.
Since joining Shin & Kim, he focused on investigations and litigations involving the Fair Trade Commission, such as cartels, abuse of market dominance, unfair trade practices, unfair support, subcontracting (including litigations seeking cancellation of the FTC’s decision, claim for damages incurred by the violation of the Fair Trade Act, and cancellation of sanctions against unfair business operators, etc.), and still handles a significant number of similar cases. In particular, he represented global companies as the lead-attorney in various cases that attracted attention from the anti-trust sector around the world. He has also been involved in several prominent disputes reported in the media, such as the automobile emissions lawsuits.
He continues to be recognized as a Leading Individual in the annual competition/antitrust ranking by Chambers Asia, a world-renowned legal media, and as a Leading Lawyer in the fair trade field by the Legal Times.
He also has experience working at Steptoe & Johnson, a leading global law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., right after passing the New York state bar exam during his studies in the United States.
