Mr. Jae Il Lee is a partner at Shin & Kim and he primarily provides legal services in the areas of project finance, energy and resources, social infrastructure (SOC) investment, and asset management.

Mr. Lee plays a leading role in large-scale energy and infrastructure project financing (PF) transactions. In particular, he represents project owners and lending syndicates in a wide range of energy and infrastructure projects—including domestic and international renewable energy projects such as solar, offshore and onshore wind, and fuel cells, as well as LNG terminals, power generation projects, and data centers—providing advice throughout the entire process, from project development to financial structuring and funding. In addition, he has accumulated extensive experience in the project finance (PF) sector by reviewing various financial structures and supporting the execution and implementation of related contracts in projects involving domestic and international financial institutions.

Mr. Lee possesses extensive experience in complex PF transactions that involve public sector support or multi-layered financial structures. In particular, drawing on his expertise as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he provides advice that takes into account both the legal issues and the financial structure of a project. Furthermore, he is continuously expanding his areas of expertise, ranging from the establishment of and advisory services for energy and infrastructure asset investment funds to legal due diligence and financial feasibility reviews for various domestic and international projects.
