Mr. Young-Woo Cho is a partner at Shin&Kim, and his main practice area is litigation and advisory work related to construction and real estate (redevelopment and reconstruction, urban development projects, public contracts, private investment projects, construction administration and regulation, real estate trust and PF projects, etc.).

Mr. Cho has a record of successful practice in lawsuits and arbitrations on construction fees for large-scale domestic and foreign power plants and large defense military facilities, and has been recognized for his outstanding expertise in litigation and consulting practice regarding various development projects such as urban development, urban maintenance, urban planning facility projects, industrial complex development, housing remodeling, and regional housing cooperative projects, as well as real estate entrustment and PF project. He also has abundant experience in cases of dealing with urgent rights relief procedures, such as the selection of priority negotiation partners and bidding-related disputes, disputes related to the disposition of unfair contractor sanctions, disputes on public procurement and contracts, and subsequent injunctions and suspension of execution. Based on his expertise in construction administration and regulation, he provides a wide range of advisory services on construction-related laws and regulations, such as the National Land Planning Act, Building Act, Housing Act, and Framework Act on the Construction Industry, as well as litigation and advisory services related to licensing and administrative disposition response. In addition, he won acquittals in many of his criminal cases, and also prevailed in many other cases, especially in white-collar crimes.

Mr. Cho handled numerous litigation and advisory work related to public contracts, national property, and national defense military facilities at the National Defense Facilities Headquarters. He completed his doctorate program at the Law School of Seoul National University and is active as a regular member of the Administrative Law Theory of Practical Studies, as an incorporated association, and as a member of Seoul University’s Public Interest Industry Law Center and the Korea Data Law Policy Society.
