Mr. Ji-Il Jeong is an advisor at Shin & Kim, mainly providing advisory services on Investigations and criminal affairs.

Mr. Jeong (retired Senior Superintendent of Korean National Police Agency) passed the public examination for police officers on September 6, 1986, and served as a police officer until his retirement on April 30, 2021. He mainly handled cases in criminal, intelligence teams, long-term cold murder cases, etc., and other high-profile cases that received much social attention throughout his 36-years of investigation. He is a seasoned veteran in police investigation, based on which he plans to provide advice in the areas of investigation and crimes.

Mr. Jeong started off as an investigator at the Police Squad of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in 1986 and served at the Criminal Department of the Investigation Division in 1999, the International Criminal Investigation Department in 2003. From 2005 and onwards, He has devoted himself to investigative activities at the Intelligence Team of the Yongsan Police Station in 2005, Economic Crimes Unit of the Investigation Department in 2006, the Violent Crimes Unit of the Criminal Offense Division in 2007, the Criminal Offense Department of the Seocho Police Station in 2011, the Intelligence Team of the Regional Crime Investigation Squad in 2014, and as the head of the Unsolved Cases Team of the Criminal Investigation Department under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Lastly, Mr. Jeong served as the head of Criminal Offense Division of the Anyang Manan Police Station of the Southern Gyeonggi Police Agency from 2021 to 2022, and finally retired as the Senior Superintendent of the National Police Agency.
