Mr. Tai-Hee Lee provides extensive advice on policies, legal systems, technology outlook, etc. in the ICT sector, including telecommunications, broadcasting, Internet-based platforms and new IT industries, and the science and technology sector, including aerospace and national R&D projects.
Mr. Lee has contributed to the development and growth of the ICT industries and science and technology of Korea by supporting the privatization of KT, conversion of analog broadcasting to digital, first 5G commercialization in the world, stimulation of domestic OTT businesses (Internet media companies) and Korean start-up companies’ advancement into overseas markets and laying the groundwork for legal systems on the space and improving the R&D preliminary feasibility study system as he has held a variety of key posts, including the head of the office of planning and coordination, head of the office of network policy, director general of the telecommunications policy bureau, director general for intellectual property policy, director general of the performance evaluation bureau of the science and technology innovation center, senior executive officer of the information, broadcasting and telecommunications secretary office of the presidential secretariat, head of the telecommunications policy planning division, head of the broadcasting promotion planning division, head of the telecommunications competition policy division and head of the Internet policy division, of ministries and government agencies in charge of ICT and science and technology, including the Ministry of Information and Communication, Korea Communications Commission, Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Ministry of Science and ICT for the last 30 years.
