Mr. Jong-Won Park served as a public prosecutor from 2012. He worked for many years as a digital forensic investigator, collecting digital evidence at numerous search and seizure sites, analyzing the seized evidence, preparing reports, and where necessary, appearing as a witness in court to prove the integrity, accuracy, reliability, and authenticity of the evidence. Mr. Park later worked at the Transparency Management Institute, where he carried out various risk assessments and internal investigations for companies combining digital forensics and accounting analysis.

In particular, Mr. Park worked as a digital forensic investigator at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, which is an investigation office focusing on financial securities crimes, and the Suwon (High) District Prosecutors’ Office, which is an investigation office focusing on high-tech industry protection, where he gained extensive experience in investigating digital evidence in various financial and tax crimes and various industrial technology leaks.

Mr. Park worked at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, and the Suwon High Prosecutors’ Office, where he received a commendation at the level of the Vice Minister for excellent service to the prosecution. He joined Shin & Kim in September 2024.

• Conducted digital forensic analyses of the office PCs of employees and filed a report to substantiate allegations in relation to an internal investigation into the Korean branch by an electrical equipment and semiconductor affiliate of a Japanese global group
• Secured data from the PCs, mobile phones and servers of employees and established a review system in relation to an internal investigation into the Korean branch by an Austrian global food company
• Conducted digital forensic analyses of the PCs and mobile phones of employees in relation to a major technology leak incident at a leading Korean e-commerce company
• Conducted forensic accounting fraud investigations into an embezzlement case involving an employee of a large machinery and equipment company located in Daegu, Korea
• Secured data from the PCs, mobile phones and servers of employees and established a review system in relation to management diagnosis of an affiliate of a leading Korean food and livestock group
