Mr. Seongbin Yim is a Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, mainly practicing in the areas of Tax Audit Defense, General Tax Consulting, Tax Disputes, Trust and Estates.
Mr. Yim graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University in 1988 and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the same university. He entered public service in 1994 after passing the 37th Administrative Examination and retired in 2022 as the head of the NTS Seoul Regional Office. Having spent most of his career at the National Tax Service, Mr. Yim is a tax expert with extensive experience in tax policy and administration.
In particular, Mr. Yim served as the Head of the Corporate Taxation Bureau, Inspector General, and Head of the International Investigation Division at the National Tax Service, and the Head of Investigation Bureau 4, Manager at the International Transaction Investigation Bureau, and Head of Investigation Bureau 2 at the NTS Seoul Regional Office. He also served on secondment in the Office of Economic Secretary at Cheong Wa Dae and in the Tax Tribunal.
