Mr. Jung-Soo Kim is a Senior Advisor at Shin & Kim, and provides advisory services on national defense and maritime policies, the defense industry, and military-related issues.
Mr. Kim graduated from the Republic of Korea Naval Academy (in 1987) and was commissioned as an ensign. As he retired as the Chief of Naval Operations (Admiral) in 2022 after serving in a range of key positions, he has built extensive expertise on matters related to the military, including national defense and the defense industry. During the course of his military service for approximately 35 years, Mr. Kim has performed various duties related to policies, strategies, military forces and operators for the Navy, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Ministry of National Defense, Office of the President, etc.
In particular, he has substantial hands-on experience in addressing key pending issues in the national defense and defense industry areas, including the development of military policies and military forces.
