Eugene Kim is a senior foreign attorney at Shin & Kim and a member of the firm’s ICT group (TMT / Privacy & Data Protection).
Mr. Kim has significant experience in advising multinational clients in the technology and IT services sector, particularly on regulatory matters. Mr. Kim’s advisory work on such matters, in recent years, include privacy and data protection law compliance for multinational telecommunications and cloud computing service companies, e-commerce and online service regulatory licensing for multinational technology companies specializing in e-commerce and digital platform services, and information technology-related advising for new media and digital content service providers.
Mr. Kim has earned the distinction of National Leader in the areas of Telecoms & Media and Data in South Korea from Who’s Who Legal for four consecutive years, from 2019 to 2022.
Alongside his experience in the technology and IT services sector, Mr. also advises multinational clients on a wide range of M&A and corporate transaction matters, including cross-border transactions, overseas direct investments, and both inbound and outbound mergers & acquisitions.
Before joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Kim was a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang (2007-2024) and an associate in the Seattle office of K&L Gates (2005-2007).
