Shin & Kim Establishes “Indonesia Desk”.

South Korea is one of the top 10 investors in Indonesia, especially in the manufacturing sector. The total investment realization from South Korea since 2014 until the first quarter of 2019 reached USD 7.3 billion. Further, with the beginning of the Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s second term, his administration announced a new policy goal– “Making Indonesia 4.0 – whereby the Indonesian economy strives to rank among the top 10 economies in the world by 2030. As a result, demand for legal services in Indonesia continues to increase.

On October 1, 2019, Shin & Kim established its “Indonesia Desk” in Jakarta, from which dedicated attorneys will provide high quality legal services for Korean companies interested in investing in Indonesia and for Indonesian companies wish investment interest in Korea.

The Indonesia Desk will be headed up by Mr. Daeho Lee, a senior lawyer with extensive experience in real estate investments, construction, corporate, M&A, energy, and PPP. Mr. Lee took a master of laws program (Magister Hukum) at Indonesia’s UPH University, and is the author of “Introduction to the Laws of Indonesia” (published by Uro Publishing, 2018).
