On May 22, 2014, Shin & Kim hosted a seminar entitled “Practical Issues Relating to Restrictions on Disclosure, Unfair Trading and Audit Review.”  The seminar was arranged by Shin & Kim’s Specialized Practice Group on Unfair Securities Trading in celebration of the publication of its book, “100 Questions and Answers on Financial Crimes”.

In the first session of the seminar, Tae-Yong Seo presented an overview of the disclosure system and key points on timely disclosure and types of delisting and related procedures.  In the second session, Daeshik Kim presented an overview of the unfair trading system in the capital market, recent changes in the Korean regulatory environment and main issues on insider trading, market manipulation and fraudulent unfair transactions.  In the final session, Byung Tae Kim introduced the types and procedures of audit reviews and sanctions on, and examples of, violations of accounting standards.
