Mr. Il-Young Min is a Senior Counsel at Shin & Kim. Mr. Min started his career as a judge of Seoul Civil District Court in 1983, and has held many important judicial positions throughout his career, including, a judge of Seoul Criminal District Court and Daegu High Court, Deputy Director General for Litigation Affairs of the National Court Administration, professor at Judicial Research & Training Institute, Presiding Judge of Seoul High Court, President of the Supreme Court Library, and Chief Judge of Cheongju District Court. Mr. Min was appointed a justice of Supreme Court in 2009, and after retirement, was named endowed-chair professor at Judicial Research & Training Institute in 2015. He served as the 15th Commissioner of Public Service Ethics Commission in 2016.
