Attorney Dae-Yong Baek was appointed by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security as an Advisor on administrative measures with respect to the enforcement of the Personal Information Protection Act.
A violation of the Personal Information Protection Act can result in a variety of disciplinary measures, including corrective measures, accusation/charge, and recommendation for punishment. With a view to improving the appropriateness and rationality of administrative measures imposed for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security plans to consult its advisors before taking any administrative measures.
As an attorney specializing in issues arising from the Personal Information Protection Act, Attorney Baek is highly regarded for his specialty and expertise; he serves as an expert member of the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, and provides legal advice as an advisor to the Korea Communication Commission, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Personal Information Protection Commission.
