Young-Ku Lee of Shin & Kim was recently appointed as Chairman of the Korea Bankruptcy Law Association. The Korea Bankruptcy Law Association is a leading law association focusing on review and analysis of Korean bankruptcy laws, and its members include former and incumbent judges in the bankruptcy divisions of the courts, attorneys specializing in bankruptcy laws at major law firms, and professors of civil and commercial law at major law schools in Korea.
Young-Ku Lee served as a judge for 25 years from 1983 to 2008. From 2002 to 2005, he served as the chief prosecuting attorney in the bankruptcy division of the Seoul Central District Court, and from 2006 to 2008, as chief prosecuting attorney in the division of commercial cases at the Seoul High Court.
Hyo Jong Choi of Shin & Kim was also appointed as internal auditor of the Korea Bankruptcy Law Association.
