Mr. Young-Chul Yim has been appointed as a managing director of Shin & Kim.
Mr. Yim is a former judge of thirteen years, retiring from the Seoul High Court in 1996. Mr. Yim spent the next six years at the Korea Fair Trade Commission, serving as Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs and Deliberation Division, and subsequently as the first General Counsel, Director General of the Competition Policy Bureau and Director General of the Subcontract Division. Since joining Shin & Kim in 2007, Mr. Yim has led the Firm’s antitrust team to its current ranking as one of the best antitrust and competition practice teams in Korea. With extensive years of experience and detailed, working-level knowledge, Mr. Yim is widely touted as the leading expert in the field of antitrust and competition law.
