
The International Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee has appointed Shin & Kim partner Hyojung (Kelly) Shin as Co-chair of its under-40 arbitration subcommittee, the IBA Arb40.
The IBA Arb40 was established for younger arbitration practitioners aged 40 or below with the aim of engaging more actively with the younger members of the arbitration community. It has produced a series of reports and is actively involved in organizing workshops and symposia for younger arbitration practitioners.
As a partner with the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Ms. Shin has extensive experience representing both foreign and domestic clients in various international arbitration cases administered by ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC and KCAB, and seated in a diverse range of jurisdictions. The Legal Times has recognized her as a rising star in international arbitration in the Korean market.
