International Arbitration
Our International Dispute Resolution Practice has represented both Korean and foreign clients in international arbitrations in Asia, Europe and the United States, under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, AAA/ICDR, HKIAC, LCIA, SIAC and the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, as well as ad-hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL rules.
We are experienced in all aspects of international arbitration, including drafting submissions, selecting arbitrators, dealing with threshold procedural issues, carrying out factual investigations and discovery, engaging in witness preparation and examination, conducting oral advocacy, and enforcing arbitral awards in court. This comprehensive expertise enables us to achieve favorable results for our clients, regardless of the governing law or applicable rules of procedure.

International Litigation
Shin & Kim’s International Litigation Practice advises clients on cross-jurisdictional litigation matters. Our team of experts has worked tirelessly to protect the rights and interests of its international clients when they are forced to litigate in the Korean courts. In addition, our team has a strong network that includes preeminent litigators around the globe. We understand that litigation costs involving multiple jurisdictions can escalate. Through experience, our team provides efficient strategies to address clients’ concerns about costs. We regularly represent both Korean and foreign clients in international litigation before the Korean courts, assist with foreign litigation in Korea in the form of interim measures such as preliminary attachments or injunctions, and advise foreign and Korean clients on the implications in Korea of legal action taken in other jurisdictions.
