Introduction

Mr. Seok Choi is a partner at Shin & Kim, and his major practice areas include corporate finance, shipping finance, PEF, issuance of securities and asset securitization. He has also gained a wealth of experience in the areas of M&A of financial institutions, project financing, and foreign alternative investments.

Mr. Choi has advised various financial institutions and private equity funds and has led to successful completions of multiple transactions in corporate finance, shipping finance, and issuance of securities since 2014. He has also provided his clients with advice on various cases of offshore real estate investment and investment into fund of funds and general advice on the establishment and operation of several private equity funds.

Mr. Choi graduated from the Department of Economics of the College of Social Sciences at Seoul National University and completed the 43th course of the Judicial Research and Training Institute. He then acquired his LL.M at the Columbia Law School in the US and passed the Illinois Bar Examination. Furthermore, Mr. Choi was seconded to the legal office of the Korea Development Bank from 2021 to 2022.
