Mr. Gyutae Park is a partner at the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group of Shin & Kim.

Mr. Park graduated from Seoul National University College of Law, completed the 44th term of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and served as a military advocate before joining Shin & Kim. Mr. Park’s main practice areas include consulting on fair trade-related laws such as the Fair Trade Act, the Subcontracting Act, the Labeling and Advertising Act, and the Large Retail Business Act, as well as responding to FTC investigations and litigation. He provides advice on laws and regulations under the jurisdiction of the Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) to many domestic and foreign companies and has extensive experience in KFTC and court-level cases.

• Represented clients in multiple cases on collusion and prohibited acts by trade associations, such as foreign automobile manufacturers, insurance companies, and poultry meat suppliers, etc.
• Represented client and closed an investigation case (acquittal) of abuse of market dominance against a professional sports-related company
• Represented client and closed a case of collusion in software purchase bidding
• Represented client in conclusion of non-commencement of review of subcontract law investigation case of large construction companies
• Represented client in an investigation case involving unfair support from subsidiaries of telecommunications companies
• Represented ship/plant manufacturers in subcontracting law cases
• Represented a restaurant franchise company in a Franchise Business Act case
• Represented a convenience store brand company in a Large-Scale Distribution Business Act case
• Represented a foreign automobile importer and won the lawsuit seeking cancellation of collusion disposition
• Represented a foreign home appliance company and won the lawsuit seeking indemnity related to penalty surcharge
• Represented a large construction company in lawsuit related to bid rigging
• Represented an LPG company in lawsuit seeking cancellation of collusion disposition
• Advised multiple semiconductor manufacturers, home appliance manufacturers, etc. on the Fair Trade Act
