Jeong Won Seo is an associate at Shin & Kim, where he focuses on criminal defense at the investigation and trial stages.

Mr. Seo served as a judicial police officer at the Gyeonggi National Police Agency and Seoul Songpa Police Station of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, where he handled numerous criminal cases. In his practice as a lawyer, Mr. Seo has handled a number of corporate criminal cases involving fraud, embezzlement, violations of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act, violations of the Industrial Technology Protection Act, violations of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and unpremeditated homicide due to professional negligence, as well as general criminal cases involving damage, obstruction of business, special rape, quasi-forcible molestation, and false accusation to obtain dismissed charges and acquittals. He has also represented clients in civil litigation related to criminal cases, such as building delivery claims, damage claims, and claims for the suspension of job performance (as the president of an association).

Mr. Seo graduated from the Korean National Police University, earned his J.D. from Seoul National University School of Law, and served as a judicial police officer at the Gyeonggi National Police Agency and the Songpa Police Station of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. After passing the 9th Bar Examination in 2020, he practiced as a lawyer at YK Law LLP, and has been an associate at Shin & Kim since 2021.
