Mr. Byung-ho Kim joined the National Tax Office in 1996, and performed various services related to transfer income tax, inheritance and gift tax, corporate tax and international customs. For nine years from 2004, he served in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, working at the Tax and Customs Office in the consumption tax division, international tax division, tax treaties division, tax policy division, VAT division, property tax division, among others. During his service, he was responsible for the drafting, producing established rules of tax laws related to VAT and other indirect taxes, as well as international taxation, and legislating and amending tax treaties. In 2013, he started working at the Tax Tribunal and engaged in tax trial practices for internal tax and local tax for eight years.
