Mr. Jae-kyung Lee is a partner at Shin & Kim, LLC, and his main area of practice is General Criminal Defense, Corporate Investigation & White Collar Crime and Criminal Litigation.

After graduating from the Korea National Police University, Mr. Lee has worked as a police officer in major investigative departments for sixteen years, gaining diverse investigative experience. While working as an investigator/warrant examiner for the National Police Agency (National Investigation Headquarters) and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, his work covered the examination of the legality of complex criminal cases and the appropriateness of investigations, with a focus on investigating economic crimes and financial fraud at the Financial Crimes Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Metropolitan Investigation Division where he practiced analysis of sophisticated financial crimes and honed his investigation techniques. In addition, at the Seoul Mapo Police Station and the Ansan Sangrok Police Station’s Investigation Division, he directly investigated various criminal cases where he gained on-site experience, and was dispatched to the Financial Supervisory Service to perform various financial-related tasks. He has the expertise to accurately analyze investigation procedures and establish response strategies based on a wide range of investigative capabilities.
