Introduction
Mr. Youngjoon Seong is a partner at Shin & Kim, where he provides legislative strategy advice and legal services in the defense industry and national defense sectors.
After serving as a Military Prosecutor, Mr. Seong advised the National Assembly and the Ministry of National Defense on legislation and policy related to national defense and the defense industry. During approximately nine years at the National Assembly as a Legislative Assistant and Chief of Staff, he worked primarily with the National Defense Committee, participating in the enactment and amendment of related legislation and in major policy issues. At the Ministry of National Defense, he was responsible for legal policy and external cooperation.
Drawing on this experience, Mr. Seong advises clients on legal and regulatory issues in the defense industry and national defense sectors, as well as on a wide range of matters that call for the enactment or amendment of laws and regulations or for policy responses.
