Shin & Kim is pleased to announce that Man Hou, former Presiding Judge of the Seoul High Court, Yong Joon Cho, former Presiding Judge of the Seoul Central District Court, Jin-Ho Jeong, former Presiding Judge of the Seoul Dongbu District Court and Jongwook Park, former Judge of the Seoul High Court joined the firm.

Mr. Man Hou served as a judge for 25 years. Mr. Hou’s main areas of practice include corporate, M&A, real estate, construction, insurance and administration law, and resolution of criminal disputes.

Mr. Yong Joon Cho was involved in deliberations and sentencing in many cases and also performed joint research work. During his service as a Judge, he handled not only civil and criminal cases, but also a large number of administrative, bankruptcy and corporate cases. In addition, Mr. Cho completed the D.S.U. Program at Second University of Paris and gave his own or joint presentations regarding the laws of France and the European Union on several occasions. He also visited French courts as a representative of the Korean court.

Mr. Jin-Ho Jeong, during his service at the Seoul High Court, where he was assigned to the Appeals and Family Departments, handled various securities, finance and real estate cases, and preliminary injunction cases to determine temporary status related to corporations, as well as family cases. At Seoul Dongbu District Court, he served as the chief judge exclusively responsible for the issuance of writs and warrants, handling various writ or warrant cases and criminal cases; and as a presiding judge for the appeals department for civil cases, handling various civil cases on appeal.

Mr. Jongwook Park, during his service at the Seoul High Court, was part of the Administration Department and the Criminal Department where he handled various administrative and criminal cases. While serving as a district court judge, he handled many civil and criminal cases, warrant cases, auction cases, and provisional attachment and preliminary injunction cases.
