Mr. Jung Hoon Kim was appointed as a police officer in 1986 and served for about 32 years until his retirement as the Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in December 2017. Mr. Kim’s main regions of operation were Gyeonggi Province and Seoul Metropolitan City. Mr. Kim mainly supervised and managed the Investigations Department, Detectives Department, Security Services Department, Traffic Department, and the Intelligence Department. Among many of the positions that Mr. Kim undertook as a police, some of the major positions include the Chief of Pyeongtaek Police Station (2007) and Yongin Police Station (2009), and the Commissioner of Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency (2016) and Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (2017). After his retirement from the Police Department, Mr. Kim lectured at Kyeonggi University, Yongin University, and Kyeongbuk College on various criminal matters.
