Tae Eun Ahn is a foreign attorney at Shin & Kim whose main area of practice is labor and employment.

Tae Eun has been involved in matters regarding internal investigations for employee misconduct, review of company policies and agreements, workplace harassment and sexual harassment claims, unlawful dismissal claims, resignation and termination of executives, employee dispatch, etc.

Prior to joining Shin & Kim, Tae Eun was part of Ramsey County Attorney’s Office’s Child Protection Unit where she drafted court orders and attended court hearings representing the County such as emergency protective care hearings, default hearings to terminate parental rights, and adoption review hearings. Tae Eun has further court experience through representing clients in divorce proceedings, order for protection hearings, and bail hearings. Tae Eun also served as Managing Editor of Minnesota Law Review where she overviewed the process of reviewing and revising articles to be published in Law Review.

• ­Assist Companies C, N, etc. in responding to workplace and sexual harassment claims
• Assist global insurance company in settling potential breaches of non-solicitation, non-competition and confidentiality clauses
• ­Assist Companies E, N, etc. in responding to lawsuits for unlawful termination
• ­Work with Companies N, B, Y, etc. in connection with internal investigations on embezzlement, criminal breach of duty, failure to report product defect, misuse of corporate card, etc.
• Assist in advising global green energy company on compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
• Assist in advising Companies C, A on creation of subsidiaries in Korea
• ­Work with Company V in successful litigation on restricted stock units (RSUs)
• ­Work with Company R to successfully defend defamation lawsuit filed against employee
• ­Assist consultations with global investment group and global automobile company on processing, storage, and use of personal data
• ­Work with semiconductor company to effectuate smooth employment transfer
• ­Work with Companies A, H, M, etc. in execution of voluntary separations with executives and registration in corporate registry
• ­Work with Companies C, K, T, B, etc., to conduct due diligence on labor and employment matters in connection with their acquisitions
• Assist Company K in conducting due diligence on labor and employment matters preceding initial public offering
