Mr. Junghwan Lee is a partner at Shin & Kim.
Before joining Shin & Kim, Mr. Lee served as a prosecutor for over 20 years. During his career as a prosecutor, Mr. Lee focused his career on financial and economic investigations and gained extensive experience and knowledge in this field while serving in the Financial Tax Investigation Division of Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office and the Joint Investigation Team of the Corruption of Savings Banks, and as a legal advisor to the Financial Services Commission and 2nd Deputy Prosecutor General at Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office.
Mr. Lee has also held other important prosecutorial positions including the Protection Legal System Manager at the Ministry of Justice, 1st Director of Criminal Litigation and Director of Forensic Analysis at Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, 1st Deputy Prosecutor General at Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office, and head of Ansan Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office. Moreover, Mr. Lee has expertise on Japanese-related matters as he had the opportunity to work in Japan as a visiting researcher at Keio University in Japan and in the Korean Consulate General in Osaka, Japan.
